At least one other star, GMB’s Ranvir Singh, also complained about the Italian, while former Steps singer Faye Tozer reportedly clashed with him.
Last night, TV personality Richie Anderson unfollowed his former dance partner on Instagram, while former Love Island host Laura Whitmore previously revealed she was “broken” by her time with him.
The Sun can reveal bosses secretly held a meeting with Giovanni, 33, about his behavior last year, but no action was taken.
A source said: “Some of the pros and crew feel it needs to be dealt with and Giovanni should not be back this year.
“The BBC stands behind Giovanni and will not be investigating.
“It comes as a shock to some on the show who think something needs to be done about his behaviour.
“It was very difficult for Amanda with him and she is not the only one.
“Four other partners of his have either spoken openly about how difficult it was to work with him or made it clear in the industry.”
A source said Giovanni was spoken to after Sherlock and Mr Selfridge star Amanda called for cameras to be installed in the rehearsal room last year because she was concerned about his attitude.
They added, “Like Amanda, Ranvir also flagged the issue during training with Giovanni and said she was unhappy.
“The BBC doesn’t seem to be doing anything and that’s shocking.”
The Sun revealed on Sunday that Amanda is demanding footage of their rehearsals after seeking legal advice.
Giovanni’s partner Laura from 2016 previously claimed that her time with him on the popular dance show made her cry.
She said: “They put me with a dance partner that I was extremely uncomfortable with and I ended up feeling broken, I cried every day.”
Last night a source close to the professional said: “Gio finds some of these allegations deeply unfair and offensive.
“He had the support of the producers about what happened recently and they are behind him. A lot of the negativity seems to have come from professional jealousy, especially among other professional dancers because he got his own TV show with Anton Du Beke.
“Gio believes he has done nothing wrong and simply wants to get the best out of his partners.”
The BBC declined to comment.
