Strictly star Nadiya Bychkova has hit back at fans’ comments after describing her disappointment at missing out on the celebrity couple.
The mother of one, who finally broke her silence over the weekend, took to Instagram on Monday with a new post for her followers.

Alongside a merry-go-round of behind-the-scenes footage of Strictly, Nadiya, 34, began her post with a message of gratitude. “Just wanted to encourage you all today because you did it for me over the weekend,” she wrote.
“This is going to be a brilliant series of Strictly. I hope you all enjoy it and I’m looking forward to being part of the biggest show on TV.”

The Ukrainian-born dancer continued to share her perspective on her recent grief, writing: “Life doesn’t always go our way, but the people we meet can make a huge difference in our perspective, our mindset and how we face the next day.

Her boyfriend, Kai Widdrington, was among the first to respond, writing: “You’re perfect,” while another posted: “We’ll miss seeing you with a partner [teary emoji] but you’ll still kill him in group numbers!!”

This is not the first time the former Latin champion has spoken about her recent Strictly rebuke. Over the weekend, Nadiya was quick to write a lengthy message after the glittering premiere show, which saw Strictly’s professional dancers take to the floor alongside their celebrity partners.
While Nadiya praised the “amazing” show, she made her feelings known in her lengthy caption. Alongside a glamorous photo of herself dressed in head-to-toe gold, the TV star expressed her disappointment, writing: “I’m sure you’ll understand that I’m disappointed not to be partnered with a celebrity on @bbcstrictly this series.

“It’s an amazing show to be a part of and I’m still so excited about all the group numbers, performing with some of our musicians and more.”
She finished by adding: “I’m also looking forward to supporting my fellow professionals and I want to wish all the couples the best of luck in the competition this year.”
