Succession’s final episode was raved about by fans and critics alike, but there’s a very interesting moment in the final episode that fans can’t quite agree on. Warning, spoilers ahead…
In the episode, the Roy siblings are at Waystar Royco waiting for the board meeting to begin when Roman panics when he sees Gerri. After appearing flustered when he questioned what people would think when they saw him — and why he wasn’t appointed CEO — Kendall hugged him tightly, ripping off the stitches. on his forehead.
Fans couldn’t quite agree on the timing, with some believing Roman wanted Kendall to get hurt for the reason he didn’t become CEO, while others believed that Kendall asserted his authority. for his brother.
One wrote: “Kendall slowly and quietly pressed Roman’s head against her shoulder until the stitches popped out, this is probably the scariest scene on TV so far this year,” while another fan wrote. replied: “Did you see this scene? I really think Roman rammed Ken in the forehead to hurt himself.”

A third viewer added: “The more I think/read about it, the more I feel it’s a scene where Kendall could have told himself he was helping Roman but was willing to physically hurt him. to do that, which Kendall never did. before.”
“I consider it a mutual (but terrible) thing,” another fan noted. “Kendall presses her head in as an assertion of dominance/control (a la Logan), but Roman leans on that too, not trying very hard to get out because of his own masochism and the way it is’ comfort him (a la Logan). ” What do you think?

The show ends in tragedy, with Roman, Shiv, and Kendall breaking up after Shiv’s decision to finally agree to GoJo’s deal sparks an argument between the three. After a successful deal, Lukas Matsson appoints Tom as the new CEO, while Kendall suffers and is penniless, Shiv vilifies the CEO’s wife more than the CEO himself, and Roman seems to be returning to the routine. partying while giving blunt orders. a drink at the bar.

Talking about the decision he made to end the series, creator Jesse Armstrong explained: “I’ve been thinking about all of their stories. You know, they have no end. They will continue. But in a way, this show makes them lose interest because they’ve lost what they wanted, which is success – which, you know, is the reward their father gave them.”
He continued: “In a simple and brutal way, Roman ends exactly where it began. Shiv is still in the game, I mean, in a pretty scary, cold, emotionally barren place.

“For Kendall, this will never cease to be the central event of his life, the pivotal days of his life, the central years of his life. Maybe he could go ahead and start a company, or do something.
