Sudheer committed suicide on January 23, 2023. According to reports, he consumed poison on January 10, 2023 and informed his relatives living in Kondapur about his health condition. They rushed him to Osmania Hospital in Warangal. He did not show much improvement there and was later shifted to a private hospital in Visakhapatnam on January 21, 2023. His health deteriorated and he died on January 23, 2023. Mahalanipetta police said that after Sudhir’s death, his body was handed over to his family without any post-mortem examination. Police summoned the hospital because his death was a forensic case (MLC). According to his family, he struggled for some time to get good roles.

- After his death, his co-star Sudhakar Komakula shared a picture of Sudheer on Twitter and wrote:

- Director Venky Kudumulla also expressed his sadness at Sudhir’s death on Twitter and wrote:
Sometimes the sweetest smile hides the deepest pain…we never know what others are going through…please be considerate and spread the love! Miss you Ra Sudhir! You shouldn’t have done this…may your soul rest in peace. “
