Sunanda graduated from Khalsa College in Amritsar and went to Guru Nanak Dev University to pursue her MA in English. Sunanda’s academic performance was very poor when he was a student. She had a keen interest in music since she was a child, but never thought of becoming a singer. When she went to college, she started singing covers of various songs and uploading videos of them to Facebook and YouTube. In 2016, she sang the song “Suchcha Soorma” and her video went viral on social media. Subsequently, Sunanda started receiving invitations from many music composers in the Punjabi music industry to sing for them.

Sunanda Sharma started her singing career in 2016 with the Punjabi song “Billi Akh”. Next, she released the song “Patake” which gained widespread recognition. She later performed several hit Punjabi songs including “Koke”, “Morni” and “Sandal”. In 2017, her song “Jaani Tera Naa” received around 222 million views on YouTube.
Sunanda made her debut in Bollywood with the Punjabi song “Tere Naal Nachna” which was a huge hit. After this, she lent her voice to the song “Poster Lagwa Do” in the Bollywood movie “Luka Chuppi”.
Apart from singing, she also tried her hand at acting, playing the role of ‘Jeeti Kaur’ in the Punjabi film ‘Sajjan Singh Rangroot’.
