Things have been tough for Superman lately. After being exposed to the dimensional rift, Superman begins to suffer from radiation poisoning, which begins to damage his Kryptonian cells, causing the hero to gradually weaken. However, despite his weak health, Superman still ventured to Warworld to free Earth from its oppressors, the Mongol alien dictators. Clark was captured and spent a considerable amount of time in Warworld, but eventually sparked an uprising that turned Warworld’s red solar generator into white solar power. A new wave of power energizes Clark and gives him everything he needs to fulfill his mission.
Now that World War II enters Earth’s orbit, Superman may soon attain one of his most powerful forms. Kalibak mocks Clarke’s waning powers, saying there’s nothing “sublime” about him anymore. However, Superman flatly refused, claiming that he was stronger than ever thanks to the White Sun of the World of War.
