Suresh Chandra Menon was born on Thursday, October 24, 1957, in Ponnani, Kerala, India (age 64; as of 2022). He studied at Kendriya Vidyalaya in Chennai. Suresh graduated from the private Loyola College in Chennai in 1977.

Suresh Chandra Menon started his career as a photographer and cinematographer at the age of 17. He started working as a cinematographer’s assistant without any training. He has also collaborated with different renowned cinematographers including KS Prakash, Williams and Bala Krishnan. Apart from acting, Suresh has also experimented with other areas of the film process as director, producer and executive producer. He has served as an executive producer on some Hindi films such as “Chup Chup Ke”, “Malaamal Weekly” and “Phir Milenge”. He is the producer of Tamil television series like “Chinna Chinna Asai”, “Doctors” and “Nirangal”. He has also produced documentaries for the National Geographic Channel. Suresh Menon once said,
