He has worked as an assistant director with famous directors such as K. Balachander and Priyadarshan. In 1997, he made his directorial debut with the Malayalam film “Bharatheeyam”.
Some of the Malayalam films he has directed include Achaneyanenikkishtam (2001), Vasanthamalika (2002), Pathinonnil Vyazham (2010) and Nakhangal (2013).

On January 5, 2020, he entered the Bigg Boss Malayalam 2 house along with other contestants like Sujo Mathew, Rajini Chandy, Veena Nair and Reshma Rajan. He was the last contestant to enter the Bigg Boss House.
