Surinder Singh (also spelled Surender Singh) aka Surinder Singh Dehal was born on Thursday, July 23, 1998 in Unadheran, Himachal Pradesh, India (age 25; as of 2023). His zodiac sign is Leo. He started playing kabaddi under coach Sushil while playing in school and later trained for two years at the SAI (Sports Authority of India) hostel in Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh.
Due to some family issues, he returned to his village and continued playing kabaddi in local tournaments. He then pursued a bachelor’s degree in physical education and sports at Lovely Professional University (LPU), Phagwara, Punjab. He later became a professional kabaddi player.

Surinder Singh participated in the Future Kabaddi Heroes program in 2017 and later participated in the New Young Players (NYP) program, the Professional Kabaddi League (PKL) aimed at discovering young talent. plan; his coach Jaipal convinced him to try these moves. U Mumba acquired him for Rs 6 lakh in PKL Season 5 in 2017 and later retained him for Rs 6.60 lakh and Rs 3.75 lakh respectively for Season 6 (2018) and Season 7 (2019) .
Telugu Titans acquired him for Rs 55 lakh for PKL Season 8 (2021-22).

- His position is right back, serving as a defender. He also played as a Raider in local tournaments.
- Surinder spoke about his childhood in an interview and said he was bullied by his classmates because they thought he was slow. They often teased him and sometimes threw him into the mud when it rained. He would wash his clothes at a nearby monastery and then go to school in his wet uniform. He once saw two of his seniors being congratulated by school administrators for being drafted into the Army. This incident inspired Surinder to do something big in his life. He filled a bag with sand and began practicing with them until he was included in the local team.
- His signature move is a quick dash. He said in an interview that his skills have improved tremendously after playing with Faizil Atrachali and Anup Kumar.
- In an interview, he revealed that one time when he was playing in Mumbai, he saw a comment on his social media post which made him very angry. He sent his location to the person who made the comment and asked him to say such things to his face rather than comment. His management team later learned of the incident and explained to him that he shouldn’t take negative comments seriously.
