He was educated at the Modern School, New Delhi. Surya Azad has been passionate about cricket since his childhood and has represented Delhi in all age groups, but he has not played first-class cricket. From 2004 to 2007, he studied for BA (Hons) in History at St. Stephen’s College, Delhi (2004-2007). Thereafter, he studied at Symbiosis Institute of Business Management (SIBM), Pune, where he pursued an MBA in Marketing (2010-2012).
