Taba Chake is an Indian fingerstyle guitarist, singer and songwriter.

Taba Chake was born on Friday, December 24, 1993 (26 years old in 2019) in Rono village, Doimuk, Arunachal Pradesh. His star sign is Capricorn. He studied at the Government Higher Secondary School in Doimuk, Arunachal Pradesh.

He graduated from the Government College of Deranathon, Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh. Later, he also studied music at the Swarnabhumi Music College in Chennai but dropped out before graduation.

Profession
Taba Chak started his musical journey in 2009 when he joined an Indian band in Arunachal Pradesh. He continued to perform with the band till 2011. The band released two songs in 2011, one of which was “Sun Le Meri”.

After the band broke up, he decided to become a solo musician and started playing in clubs; first in Delhi and then in Mumbai. Recalling that time, he said,
I remember singing the same lyrics to a different tune almost every weekend and you know what… only I knew [them]”!No one cares.”

He has travelled around the world and performed at various festivals such as Rajasthan, Ziro, Shine A Light, Asian New Wave and Northeastern. His debut EP Bond with Nature was released in 2016.
His first full-length album, Mumbai Dreams, was released in 2019.
A native of the Nisi tribe, his music is inspired by tribal folklore, birds and nature. He sings primarily in Nisi (his native language), Hindi and English.

- He is a dog lover and owns several pet dogs, one of which is named Ponchi.

- He loved music from an early age. He began listening to and creating music at the age of six, and began composing songs at the age of eleven.
- While studying at boarding school, he was introduced to the guitar but had no interest in it. Later, a talented roommate of his played a Bryan Adams song on the guitar and sang the song. This event prompted Taba to start playing the guitar seriously.
- In 2014, he participated in the All India Fingerstyle Competition organized by Infinite Souls and won the second place.
