Tanya Puravankara, popularly known as Tanya Hope, is an Indian actress and model known for her roles in Kannada, Telugu and Tamil films Famous for his works. She started her career as a model and became the winner of Miss India Kolkata 2015. She participated in FBB Femina Miss India 2015 and became one of the finalists.

Tanya was born on Wednesday, September 11, 1996, in Bangalore, Karnataka, India (age 26; as of 2022). Her zodiac sign is Pisces. She grew up in Bangalore and went to school there. She completed her schooling from Sacred Heart High School for Girls, Bangalore. To further her studies, she traveled to London and graduated in International Relations from the University of Westminster, UK. In 2014, when she returned to India after graduating from the UK, she was still thinking about what she wanted to do, when someone recommended her to enter a beauty pageant. Hence, she decided to join modeling training at The Tiara Pageant Training Studio in Pune. In 2015, she was crowned Miss Kolkata India and entered the Telugu film industry in 2016.

In 2017, she appeared in the Telugu film “Patel SIR”, playing the role of ACP Catherine. She made her Tamil debut with Magizh Thirumeni’s Saddam, which was released in 2019.

She became more famous and started receiving offers for several films. The same year that she made her debut in Tamil and Kannada films, she acted in two more Kannada films, the first being Sunil Kumar Desai’s suspenseful action thriller ” Udgharsha” and the second one is the romantic action film “Amar” directed by Nagashekhar. In an interview, Tanya talked about what kind of role she wanted to play in the movie, and said that she wanted to be a versatile actor and play challenging roles. she says,
I choose my movies and roles, I want it to be a performance, I want to see what I can do and how to be an actor, I want to show everyone what I can do, but I don’t want to keep acting The role of a simple girl. I had already done it once and I really enjoyed it, but this time I wanted to challenge myself and I wanted to play something very powerful and female. I didn’t think I could do it.”
