Tanzim Hasan Sakib was born on Sunday, October 20, 2002, in Tilakchanpur village, Sylhet, Bangladesh (21 years old as of 2023). His zodiac sign is Libra. He completed his education from Balagonj Government DN High School, Bangladesh. He furthered his studies at Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishtan (BKSP). As a young man, he received a talent pool scholarship to appear for the PEC examination while studying at Adityapur Government Primary School in Baraganj.

In the eighth grade, he was selected for the under-13 national team at Molvi Bazar District Stadium. He completed a three-month bowling course at Zahoor Ahmed Chaudhry Stadium in Chittagong and signed up for Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishtan. While training with BKSP, he played for the Bangladesh Under-17 Cricket Team in India in 2016 and the Bangladesh Under-19 Cricket Team in England and Sri Lanka in 2019. Participated in Dhaka Premier Cricket League 2018-19 on March 27, 2019. In December 2019, he was selected for the Bangladesh team for the 2020 Under-19 Cricket World Cup. He played his first first-class match for the Sylhet Division in the 2020-21 National Cricket League on March 29, 2021. He made his T20 debut on 5 June 2021 in a match between Abakhani Ltd and Brothers in the Dhaka Premier League 2020 Cricket League. In the game, he was awarded the man of the match.
In December 2021, he participated in the 2022 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup in the West Indies with the Bangladesh team. Tanzim made his debut on September 15, 2023 in the Asia Cup match against India. In the 2023 Asian Cup, he was selected as a substitute player for the Bangladesh team. In the first international match of Asia Cup 2023, Saqib dismissed India captain Rohit Sharma. In an interview, he talked about taking Rohit’s wicket and said,
Rohit bhai’s first wicket was a dream wicket. I just focus on line and length. I was mentally prepared to deal with it for the long haul. That ball (Shami’s last ball), I believed I could hit it perfectly. Very good feeling. “
In November 2023, he participated in the final Group A match for Bangladesh A against India A in the ACC Men’s Emerging Teams Asia Cup Championship in Sri Lanka. During the match, he eliminated opener Sai Sudharsan and all-rounder Riyan Parag.

In September 2023, Tanzim was criticized for some posts on Facebook that were deemed misogynistic by multiple media outlets. Domestic people have different views on this. Some believe that everyone has the right to free speech under the country’s constitution. Tanzim apologized to the Bangladesh Cricket Board, saying he had no intention of hurting anyone and those who were offended. He denied being a misogynist and said: “My mother is a woman, so I can never be a misogynist.” Cricketer Mehidi Hassan Miraz shared on social media that although Tanzim expressed himself in the “wrong” way, he did not intend to convey any misogyny.
