Taylor Heise has not hinted that she has a partner. Her hockey career put the University of Minnesota graduate in the spotlight. Taylor’s name will go down in history as the first overall pick in the inaugural PWHL draft. Taylor, who grew up in a basketball household, has come a long way in her career. The 23-year-old kept the intricacies of her personal life away from the public eye. She spoke briefly about her family and parents, but not about her love life. After the big day, the former Gophers center addressed the media and said she can’t wait to get started. The PWHL season begins in early January and training camp begins on November 13th.

Taylor Heise has not publicly revealed the name of her partner, if she has one. The University of Minnesota hockey player’s Instagram account is full of photos of her playing with her teammates. Heise hid her love life from the public eye. There’s a good chance the 23-year-old is dating, but Taylor may not be ready to go public with her relationship just yet. But there’s also the possibility that Taylor is now single and has been balancing her academic and athletic life in Minnesota.
Taylor, a Red Wing High School alumnus, committed to Minnesota in 2018 and will graduate in 2022 with a degree in kinesiology and sports marketing. The forward was already a standout in high school, after being named the 2018 USA Girls Hockey Player of the Year. Additionally, she won gold medals with the United States U18 Women’s National Team in 2018, 2017 and 2016.
Taylor received the Patty Kazmaier Memorial Award and was selected as the WCHA Player of the Year in her senior year in 2021. She continued her athletic career at Minnesota after college and was named the WCHA Offensive Player of the Year last season. She became the ninth Gopher to reach the 2,000-point plateau earlier this year. In February, Heise played in her 169th career game, setting a new program record. So, since her late adolescence, the lady has been extremely active, winning medals and accolades left and right. Heise may not have released her boyfriend’s name right now, but maybe we’ll see her with him one day.
Taylor Heise’s parents: Amy and Tony Heise
Amy and Tony Heise, Taylor’s parents, are both former NCAA basketball players. Tony and Amy Heise were basketball players at UW-River Falls, where Tony graduated in 1991. When their only daughter expressed an interest in hockey, not basketball, the couple was taken aback. Taylor was in first grade when she informed her parents that she wanted to play hockey.
They may have believed that the passion for sports would fade over time, but it just got stronger. The family lived in Lake City, Minnesota and did not have their own hockey team. So long drives to Red Wing for Taylor’s youth hockey meant long car drives for Amy and Tony, and when she enrolled, that meant going in and out of the Twin Cities four days a week in the offseason.
Heise admitted in an interview that it was difficult for her to be away from her family because she had always been a housewife. During an interview with CBS News, Heise said she would cry if she had to go to USA Hockey training camp. Nathan and Ryan are Taylor’s younger brothers. Both of her brothers are basketball players, following in their parents’ footsteps.
Nathan is a 6’4 guard for the University of Northern Iowa. Nate received MVC’s Academic Excellence Award and was named to the freshman honor roll. In 32 games, he scored 276 points, an average of 8.1 points per game. Nathan was limited to just two games in his sophomore season due to a season-ending hand injury. Ryan Heise, Taylor’s younger brother, just committed to Upper Iowa University. Ryan, the youngest member of the family, is blessed with an exceptional height of 6’9 and plays forward. She graduated from Lake City High School and averaged 9.6 points per game as a senior, earning her a spot on the HVL All-Conference team.
