Taylor Swift and Her Family Hosted Travis Kelce for Thanksgiving: 'It Was Very Festive and Special' (Exclusive Source)

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce spent a family-filled Thanksgiving together.

The Kansas City Chiefs tight end, 35, and the pop superstar, 34, celebrated the holiday together and brought both their families, a source confirmed exclusively to PEOPLE.

According to a source, Taylor and her family — including dad Scott and mom Andrea — hosted Kelce in Nashville, before Travis flew out to prepare for the Chiefs’ victory over the Las Vegas Raiders on Friday, November 29.

“Taylor and Travis had a great Thanksgiving together with their families,” a source tells PEOPLE, recalling that the “Karma” singer was in South America on her Eras tour around Thanksgiving weekend last year. – This is the first Thanksgiving they celebrated together.

“Taylor and her family were excited to host the Kelces this year,” the source added. “[Travis’ brother] Jason was also there with his family and children. It was very festive and special.”

After the celebration, Taylor also traveled to Kansas City, where she arrived at Arrowhead Stadium with Travis’ mom, Donna, to cheer Travis on.

The news may come as a surprise to some fans, as Travis’ mom Donna said a week before Thanksgiving, during an appearance on Today indicate that Taylor is unlikely to join the Kelce’s for the holiday.

“I don’t think so. She’s a bit busy at the moment. She still has her tour,” said Donna, 72, referring to Taylor’s record-breaking Eras Tour, which ends on December 8.

Donna added that for her family, “football is always the holidays,” noting that her loved ones had no plans for Thanksgiving dinner.

“I think we’ll just be at the football game,” she said then.

Although Taylor and Travis are keeping the details of their relationship pretty private, the Chiefs tight end recently opened up about how things are going on an episode of his New heights podcast, which he co-hosts with Jason, 37.

During the November 13 episode, Travis briefly said that he and his brother are “two [people] very happy in relationships” before sharing some dating advice.
