Taylor Swift Announces The Eras Tour Film Will Be Available to Stream on Her Birthday: ‘Fun Way to Celebrate’

Taylor Swift is bringing her record-breaking Eras Tour to households across the US and Canada — and soon, the world.

On Monday, 33-year-old Swift made the announcement on Instagram Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour the concert film will be available for viewing in just over two weeks. Starting on her birthday, December 13th, fans will have access to one of the most coveted tickets of the year from the comfort of their own home.

“Well, actually, my birthday is coming up and I thought a fun way to celebrate the year we’ve had together would be to make The Eras Tour concert film available for you to watch at home!” she wrote on Instagram alongside a video of her performing the song “Wildest Dreams”. 1989 (Taylor Version) on stage in the film.

The version available for rent on demand, she said, will include part of the set list that was cut when the film hit theaters worldwide in early October. Although the actual duration of the Eras Tour is over 3 hours and 15 minutes, the concert film was only 2 hours and 45 minutes long, so several fan favorite songs did not make it into the final cut. However, for the digital edition, Swift includes some of them.

She continued on Instagram: “I’m very happy to tell you that an extended version of the film including ‘Wildest Dreams’, ‘The Archer’ and ‘Long Live’ will be available to rent on demand in the US, Canada and other countries that will to be released soon starting on … you guessed it, December 13th 🫶💋.”

The “Anti-Hero” singer’s announcement came just hours after she wrapped up her last show of the year in São Paulo, Brazil.

She had a few special guests in the audience as she performed her career-spanning performance with the family of her late fan, Ana Clara Benevides Machado, on Sunday night.

Benevides Machado died before attending Swift’s performance in Rio de Janeiro earlier this month, so Swift invited her loved ones — including her father, Weiny Machado — to her final Brazilian tour in São Paulo, a source close to Swift confirmed to PEOPLE.

The 23-year-old fan died on November 17 ahead of Swift’s concert at Nilton Santos Stadium. She was unwell at the Rio gym and was treated by emergency services before being taken to a nearby hospital, where she died, event organizer Time for Fun announced on X (formerly Twitter).

Her loved ones wore the same shirts with Benevides Machado’s likeness on them during the performance, which they watched from what appeared to be VIP tent. Before the show they met Swiftaccording to fans.

From Eras Tour concert film premiered in theaters on October 13, Swift was thrilled with the response. Within the first two weeks of its release, it broke opening day box office records and grossed over $200 million at the global box office.

She reflected on the film’s success on Instagram, writing, “What a truly amazing thing you have turned The Eras Tour Concert Film into.”

The singer continued, “I’ve watched videos of you in theaters dancing and strutting and recreating choreography, making up inside jokes, casting spells, getting engaged, and generally creating just the kind of joyful chaos we’re known for 😇 .”
