This is the official end of an era for Taylor Swift.
The 14-time Grammy winner closed out her career-spanning Eras Tour on Sunday, December 8 at Vancouver’s BC Place Stadium, bringing to a close a record-breaking run of concerts that changed the cultural landscape forever.
As she took the stage, Swift kept thanking her fans for making the Eras Tour so amazing.
“I want to thank each and every one of you for being a part of the most exciting chapter of my life so far — my beloved Eras tour,” she said in a video shared on X (formerly known as Twitter) before launching into final track “Karma.”
Earlier, while giving her final “Lover” speech of the tour, the musician said: “We’ve been all over the world…we’ve had so many adventures. It’s been the most exciting, powerful, electrifying, intense, excitingly challenging thing I’ve ever done in my entire life,” according to another video shared by a fan page on X.
“We were able to perform in front of over 10 million people on this tour,” Swift added.

According to The New York TimesThe Eras Tour sold a total of $2,077,618,725 in tickets, which the outlet says is “double the gross ticket sales of any other concert tour in history,” citing the singer’s production company, Taylor Swift Touring.

The company confirmed that 10,168,008 people attended the concerts, the publication reported. According to NY TimesColdplay are following Swift after reportedly raking in $1 billion in ticket sales for their 156-date Music of the Spheres world tour, which kicks off in March 2022 and runs through September 2025.
On Sunday’s show, fans also sang “Happy Birthday” to Swift ahead of her 35th birthday on Friday, December 13, according to a further X clip.

After her previous Eras Tour in Toronto, Swift posted on Instagram that emotions “got pretty high.” “It’s become very real for us: our next city will be the last on The Eras Tour and the closing of the most extraordinary chapter of my life so far,” she said.
Swift began her Eras Tour in March 2023. During the duration, she held 152 shows in dozens of cities on five continents.
In April, the “Fortnight” singer announced Department for tortured poets. The following month, she surprised fans in Paris with a new segment and added choreography for the Grammy-nominated album.

Among the hundreds of thousands of fans and celebrities who attended her performance along the way was her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, who was in the crowds in Australia, Indianapolis, Kansas City, Paris, Dublin and Singapore.
He even surprised fans by joining her on stage for one of her shows in London in June to take part in the “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart” costume change skit.
Swift was recently named Spotify Wrapped’s Global Top Artist of the Year for the second year in a row. Apple Music Replay and Amazon Music also set it up and Tortured poets at the top of their lists for 2024.

After her latest performance, Swift’s next big music event will be the 2025 Grammy Awards on February 2nd.
