Taylor Swift Hugs Brittany Mahomes in Cute Friendship Moment at Chiefs Game amid Her Travis Kelce Romance

It’s nice to have a friend in Taylor Swift!

In the midst of her new romance with Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, the “Cruel Summer” singer seems to have made a new friend in Brittany Mahomes, the wife of Kelce’s teammate and close friend Patrick Mahomes.

Swift, 33, and Brittany, 28, were photographed laughing and hugging in a suite at Arrowhead Stadium as they watched their beaus take on the Denver Broncos on Thursday Night Football.

The singer-songwriter, who wore an oversized red, white and black Chiefs windbreaker by Wear by Erin Andrews, was all smiles with Brittany, whose hair was styled in tight curls – similar to the ones Swift was once known for.

The reunion comes two weeks after Brittany joined Swift and her friends — including Sophie Turner and Blake Lively — for dinner in NYC at Emilio’s Ballato, the night before the Chiefs played the New York Jets on Oct. 1.

The group sat in the back of the popular Italian restaurant for over four hours, with Brittany staying until 1am local time and Swift leaving shortly after 1:30am

“They had dinner in a private room. Everyone was thrilled,” a source told PEOPLE about the outing. “Everyone got along and just laughed the night away with drinks and delicious food.”

Swift and Brittany were later seen together in a suite at MetLife Stadium, where the Chiefs beat the Jets, though Swift was missed in the team’s final win against the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday.

The Grammy winner first made headlines on Sept. 24 while attending Kelce’s game, and was photographed enthusiastically cheering on the tight end, 34, while standing next to his mom, Donna Kelce.

Swift and Kelce were later seen leaving the stadium together in his convertible and were photographed getting cozy at Prime Social restaurant in Kansas City, where the athlete “rented out” the rooftop restaurant to host a party for his friends, a source previously said. for PEOPLE.

Patrick — who Kelce served as best man during his 2022 wedding to Brittany — later said he met Swift after the game, calling her “really cool” and a “good people person” at a press conference.

Kelce, for his part, praised the singer during an episode of his weekly podcast New heights with Jason and Travis Kelcenoting that everyone in Swift’s suite “had nothing but good things to say” about her.

“She looked amazing and everyone was talking about her in a great light,” he said. “Seeing the slow motion chest shots, seeing the high fives with mom, seeing how you know the Chiefs Kingdom was excited to have her there, that s— it was absolutely hysterical and it was definitely a game I’ll remember that’s for damn sure, and then we ended up just slipping away in the getaway car.”

The two-time Super Bowl champion admitted in July that he tried to give Swift his phone number after seeing her at a concert, but backed out. The two eventually got in touch, and Kelce later said he invited the “Karma” singer to see him play.

Despite the public spectacle, a source recently told PEOPLE that the two are “still just getting to know each other.”

“He’s a charming guy. It’s more of a hanging out situation than a dating situation,” the insider says, noting that during the NFL season, Kelce’s priority is “the Chiefs, and it’s all about the team.”
