Taylor Swift Leaves Designer ‘Gobsmacked’ by Wearing Reputation-Coded Dress at Dinner with Blake Lively

A Scottish designer was “stunned” after Taylor Swift wore one of his dresses.

Swift, 34, wore another Reputation-coded look this week, when she stepped out in $2,450 Jimmy Choo x Jean Paul Gaultier boots and a green velvet Sweet Jane Olive mini dress by designer Jade Robertson’s Little Lies label.

“[I was] just completely stunned at first,” said Robertson, 34, in an interview with the British newspaper Time on Thursday.

“We had no idea she even had a dress on. It turns out that she actually ordered it herself. She actually ordered it and paid for it,” she added.

The designer, who lives in Perth, Scotland, co-founded the online fashion brand with her husband Stuart and launched the store in 2015.

“Yesterday was probably the craziest day we’ve ever had,” she tells PEOPLE. “We didn’t know anything about it so we didn’t know she even had the dress. It wasn’t a press gift or a PR situation. She literally ordered and bought it herself. But we didn’t even know that because she did it under a fake name.”

“When we found out he was wearing it, it was a shock and really, really exciting. The office was going crazy, everyone was super happy. We didn’t know what he was going to do, what the effect was going to be, mostly we were really happy to see something of our brand inspired by music on such a musical icon.”

The latest Swift Reputation-the cryptic appearance comes as fans speculate that the star will soon release a “Taylor version” of her 2017 studio album. This is because she appears in clothing that conveys the gothic aesthetic and snake motifs that dominated her style when she was Reputation the album was released for the first time. Taking to Instagram, Little Lies expressed their delight at seeing the “Blank Space” singer in one of their looks.

“Big moment for Little Lies to wake up and see Taylor Swift photographed in our Sweet Jane Olive Mini Dress!” began the caption of a Thursday post on the Little Lies Instagram page.

The brand’s post continued, “Major ‘pinch me’ moment – she looks absolutely unreal and we LOVE how she styled it! Pre-order at Little-lies.com to get Taylor’s look 💚.”

Alongside the caption were shots of Swift wearing the dress while out to dinner with friend Blake Lively at Lucali Pizza in Brooklyn.

Revealing how she found out Swift was wearing one of her dresses, Robertson shared Time that a member of her design team, who has a “mega-Swiftie” brother, spotted the dress during “his 6am Twitter scroll,” she was told on WhatsApp.

The team then tracked down the specific order and now believe Swift herself or a member of her team purchased the dress using an alias.

Meanwhile, Robertson also revealed that the Sweet Jane Crushed Mini Dress was sold out by the time she checked on Thursday morning after being out of stock since it was released in August.

Despite the increase in pre-orders for the dress, the boutique owner said the price of the dress “will remain exactly the same,” she told Time. “I love her music, but what I really love is that she wears this in a Stevie Nicks way.” “She is literally the most famous person in the world,” he added to PEOPLE on Friday. “For such a small independent brand, it’s so amazing of her to not only buy and support it but actually wear it. She knows the impact it’s going to have better than anyone. So I’m very grateful for that.”
