Taylor Swift Manages Technical Malfunction During 'Lavender Haze' at First Eras Tour Show in Indianapolis

Taylor Swift will not be upset by the technical failure on stage!

During her Eras Tour performance in Indianapolis on Friday, Nov. 1, Swift, 34, experienced a microphone malfunction on stage while performing her song “Lavender Haze,” and had to switch devices.

In a video of the moment posted on TikTok, Swift said, “I need a new package,” into her microphone mid-performance, as if calling out to the crew.

Swift, who wore a purple fur coat and sequined mini dress on stage, then walked in a circle and held one arm behind her back as she continued to sing into the microphone.

She then stood calmly in the center of the stage and said, “I just need a new wireless pack because this one has a dead battery, please,” addressing the crew again from the stage as she continued her performance.

The “Fortnight” singer was ever the pro, maintaining her performance as she walked across the stage and back before a crew member came on stage to help her.

Swift removed her coat and lifted her dress, revealing a sparkly blue bodysuit underneath, and turned around as a crew member stood behind her and replaced her microphone package as she remained dancing in place.

During the technical fix, Swift sang into her microphone for a few more seconds while touching her ear with her other hand, tapping her foot to the beat of the song. After the cast member finished changing the microphone, she said, “Thank you,” and jumped up and down before continuing with the next part of the show.
