Taylor Swift Says Final Eras Tour Stops Were Picked for the ‘Passionate, Enthusiastic’ and ‘Fun’ Crowds

For her last few stops on her Eras Tour, Taylor Swift wanted crowds of people screaming the lines to “every single song!”

During her second show in Miami on Saturday, Oct. 19, the pop superstar, 34, explained to the Hard Rock Stadium crowd how she decided on her latest Eras Tour locations.

Just before diving into “Lover,” the 14-time Grammy winner explained that the historic tour has been “all over the world” this year, including Australia, Asia and Europe. The tour originally started in the US in March 2023.

“We decided, if we’re going to end this tour, it has to happen eventually, we have to pick audiences, cities and places where the audience will be passionate, enthusiastic, screaming the words to every single song, as the funnest crowd imaginable,” Swift explained.

“So,” Swift continued, “there was only one conclusion to start this final stretch, and that’s Miami, Florida!”

The star also worked to make the Miami shows – which she noted marked her return home after a summer abroad – on the Eras Tour – extra special by inviting a guest to share the stage with her.

On Friday and again on Saturday, the star fittingly brought out her collaborator Florence Welch to perform “Florida!!!” from Department for tortured poets together.

Swift and Welch, 38, also shared a sweet moment on stage at the end of Friday’s performance, with Welch holding Swift’s head before hugging her, fan-filmed footage shows.

The Oct. 18 concert comes after the “Love Story” singer marked her return to the Eras Tour with a sweet video featuring another very special guest: one of her three cats, Olivia.

Ahead of her show on Friday, Swift shared a video of herself walking across an empty Miami stadium floor before pausing to pet Olivia and remove her sunglasses in slow motion.

“Back in the office 😎,” the superstar captioned the clip, which was set to GloRilla and Sexyy Red’s “WHATCHU KNO ABOUT ME.”

On Sunday, October 20, Swift will wrap up her three-night run at Miami’s Hard Rock Stadium before traveling to New Orleans, Indianapolis and later Canada to wrap up her Eras tour.

During the break between the two legs of the tour, Swift hgas been busy, mostly with her boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.

While the Chiefs spent a week earlier this month, the pair dined back-to-back in New York — including a double date with Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds — and watched a New York Yankees playoff game.
