Taylor Swift Will Have Travis Kelce’s Support on Tour, Says Source: ‘He’s Excited to Show Up for Her’ (Exclusive)

It’s going to be anything but a cruel summer for Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce.

Swift has been a constant presence at Kelce’s Kansas City Chiefs football games over the past few months — and now that he’s a Super Bowl champion (again!), the star athlete is ready to return the favor as Swift hits the road on tour.

“They are making plans for the summer and are excited to travel together in Europe when Taylor goes on tour there,” a source said in this week’s PEOPLE cover story.

Swift, 34, kicked off a new international leg of her record-breaking Eras Tour on Feb. 7, performing four consecutive shows in Tokyo just days after becoming the first person to win album of the year at the Grammys for a fourth time.

On Friday, he will play his first of seven concerts in Australia and finally head to Singapore in early March. Then, in May, the star will begin a long run of European shows in Paris — and will remain across the continent for more than four dozen shows through August.

A source close to the Kelce family says Kelce, 34, is willing to spend the offseason supporting his superstar girlfriend, just as she did for 13 games during his season.

“Football is everything to him. He lives and breathes it. But now he’s ready for some time to show up for Taylor as she is for him,” says the insider. “There’s definitely a lot of attention on them, but Travis has done a great job of deflecting attention and focusing on what’s important.”

The pair will also head into the offseason with the full support of Kelce’s inner circle, the insider adds.

“Everyone is so happy for Travis and the whole family. He really feels on top of the world,” says the source. “His family is incredibly supportive, and they’re just on the ride with him and being there for him. They all love Taylor and see how happy she makes him.”

Swift attended her first Chiefs game in late September, and Kelce later revealed that the pair had actually known each other for about a month at that point. In November, he supported her, flying to Argentina to watch another Eras Tour show in Buenos Aires with her dad, Scott.

On February 11, Swift was in the stands as he and his Chiefs teammates defeated the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LVIII, securing their third victory in five seasons.

“It was amazing,” Swift was heard telling Kelce as she took the court to celebrate with a kiss and a hug after the game. “It was the craziest thing I’ve ever experienced.”

The Super Bowl win was the cherry on top of an already impressive week for the couple, as Swift took home two Grammy Awards on February 4th and also announced her new album, Department for tortured poetswill be published on April 19.

“Man, [we’re] on top of the world right now, baby,” Kelce said in a postgame press conference when asked about his and Swift’s status as a power couple. “It feels good.”
