Hollywood is fighting against Taylor Swift!
Julianne Moore, Natalie Portman, Robert Downey Jr. and Jodie Foster were among a group of stars who took part in a cover of Taylor Swift’s 2014 hit “Blank Space” in a video released by W Magazine on Saturday.
The more than 3-minute-long clip begins with Foster, 61, first admitting, “I don’t know a single Taylor Swift song,” while Downey Jr., 58, who appears in the next shot, declares that he’s also “not at all familiar” with pop music stars.
Anatomy of a Fall star Sandra Hüller says apologetically in the following clip: “I don’t know, sorry Taylor, I’m really sorry.”
Taraji P. Henson, who also appears in the video, then declares, “I’ll do my best, Taylor!” — seconds before he makes his first mistake, as he mispronounces the singer’s last name.
Taylor Swift will not perform at the Grammy Awards in 2024, after which she will immediately fly to Japan for 4 consecutive performances
The celebrities then continued with their covers of Swift’s hit song, as they were joined by more stars including Lily Gladstone, Barry Keoghan, Jeffrey Wright, Da’Vine Joy Randolph and Phoebe Dynevor.
There were various renditions of Swift’s tune – from melodic recitals to hilarious dramatic readings – as well as some impressive note-for-note vocals from clear Swifties: Gladstone, 37, and Dynervor, 28.
