Welcome to The Blueprint, where we take apart the celebrity looks we want to wear right now and recreate them, piece by piece.
Taylor Swift is “back in the office… 😎” and I, for one, have mixed emotions.
It’s me more than I’m sorry I didn’t get to see the singer in person during The Eras Tour, but her cute cat (Hey, Olivia Benson!) and comfy t-shirt kind of made up for it. Or at least they were a nice bright spot.
In an Instagram post ahead of her next tour in Miami, Swift wore a $168 Polo Ralph Lauren sweater that was a true rarity. The pullover – no, sweatshirt – um, a hybrid of the two – had a mock neck-like detail that embellished the look more than a casual hoodie would have. But the material, ribbed cuffs and gathered hem were standard features of the latter.
She also wore a pair of $200 Icon Denim baggy jeans, a style favored by Katie Holmes and Jessica Alba, and a pair of block heels that she had no problem walking around the stadium in. We’ve found similar options for all three styles below, so if, like me, you didn’t make it to The Eras Tour, you can join the fun.

Since Taylor’s Polo Ralph Lauren shirt sold out immediately, I found this style on Amazon that has a “mock collar that’s not tight and constricting, but feels cozy and warm,” according to one customer. It’s also not logomania by any means — I don’t see any.

If I’m going to wear jeans, they need to be more relaxed than stiff, because I simply refuse to wear bottoms that are tight and constricting. However, I still want some semblance of shape, so wide leg jeans à la Swift or wide leg straight jeans like these are a blessing. They have “medium stretch,” according to the brand, so they shouldn’t sag uncomfortably, and they’re made from cotton, a durable material, so the washing machine won’t rip them to shreds after a few weeks.

The weather in Miami is warmer than, say, in New York. So while Swift’s strappy heels were so cool (and similar to these), I might want a pair of closed-toe boots or a slightly warmer mules for the cooler fall weather. But overall, I think my biggest takeaway is that my shoes need a block heel. Of course, “I can do it with a broken heart” the singer is used to “heels from miles”, but I will never be that. I need a thicker heel with more surface area — plus, they’re more comfortable that way.
