Three weeks after its release, ‘Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour’ reached a major milestone at the box office

Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour concert film continues to hit box office milestones.

Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour crossed $200 million at the global box office over the weekend, the film’s distributor AMC announced in a press release Monday. The film documenting the acclaimed career-spanning tour of the pop superstar, 33, hit the major milestone just three weeks after hitting theaters worldwide on October 13.

As of this weekend, the concert film has grossed a total of $150 million domestically.

From last Thursday through Sunday, the theatrical event grossed $24,575,184 globally – grossing $24,575,184 in the US and Canada and $6,494,750 in the 95 international territories where the film is currently playing.

On November 2, director Sam Wrench’s film will be released in even more international markets, including Brazil, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan and Turkey.

When Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour hit theaters, opened with a blockbuster box office haul of $92.8 million in the US, making it the fifth-biggest opening of any theatrical release this year.

It also reached number one at the box office in the US, Canada, UK, Mexico, Australia, Germany and the Philippines during its debut weekend.

The film, which features footage of the pop star’s concerts in Los Angeles in August, also broke records for its genre. During the three-day opening weekend and Thursday night previews only, Eras Tour became the highest-grossing concert film of all time, surpassing Justin Bieber’s film Never say neverwhich grossed a total of $73 million during its domestic run in 2011.

The concert film even broke records before it even hit theaters. Within just 24 hours of the film’s announcement, it became AMC’s highest single-day ticket grosser of all time.

The Grammy winner herself celebrated the release of her live show with a premiere in Los Angeles on October 11. The “Cruel Summer” singer stepped out at the Grove’s AMC Oscars screening in a strapless De La Renta gown made of textured floral cutouts and posed on the red carpet.

The pop star also gave a speech at the event. She said: “I’ve never had as much fun in my life as I did on the Eras Tour. Just the most electrifying experience of my life, and the reason for that is a few things like my band, my dancers and the crew.”

“We made this show in sickness and in health, no matter what was going on in our lives,” she continued. “And we did it with a smile on our face because of what greeted us on the other side.”

The hitmaker also took to social media that night to announce that the film was hitting theaters a day early and expressed her excitement for the release.

“Look what you honestly made me do,” she wrote in a post on X (formerly known as Twitter).

“I can’t thank you enough for wanting to see this film that so vividly depicts my favorite adventure I’ve ever been on: The Eras Tour. And the best part is that it’s an adventure we’re still on together,” said artist “Anti- Hero” talking about the upcoming international part of the tour.
