The Empire State Building is joining Taylor Swift’s viral party!
On Sunday, the singer, 33, watched NFL tight end Travis Kelce and his team, the Kansas City Chiefs, face the Chicago Bears. While the “Speak Now” singer’s visit generated several viral moments and a lot of buzz, one photo in particular caught the attention of fans, brands — and now buildings. The internet hype started after a popular X account called @tswifterastour he shared the clip again on Sunday night, the singer sits next to a plate of food at the game. “Taylor Swift ate a piece of chicken with ketchup and apparently ranch!” the inscription read.
As soon as @tswifterastour posted, Swift’s fans — and the internet — became obsessed with the user’s caption. The post has since garnered more than 32 million views and started a new meme craze.
And on Wednesday night, even in New York Empire State Building decided to have fun. The official account for the iconic 102-story building shared a photo showing the landmark’s upper floors lit up in white and red lights, with the caption “Ketchup and what appears to be ranch.”
One X user@veryharryhill, retweeted the Empire State Building post and wrote “Whoever coined ‘seemingly ranch’ needs a Pulitzer TOMORROW.”
The first Sunday post from @tswifterastour led to a frenzy of responses online, including from Hidden Valley Ranch which has since changed its name to X to “Seemingly Ranch”.
The official KFC X account commented: “Our ranch queen.” And Heinz developed a new product based on a wild Internet moment. The company has announced that it will release 100 limited edition bottles of the new “Ketchup and Seemingly Ranch” sauce.

Food companies weren’t the only brands to join in at this point, Merriam-Webster Dictionary reports replied directly to the original tweet. The official account of the dictionary laughed by providing a definition of one of the words for users. “Seemingly | attachment | outward or apparent —> used to indicate how something appears or looks.”

Swift’s performance at the stadium followed a public call from Kelce, who shared The Pat McAfee Show podcast last week, in order for the singer to attend the game.
On Sunday, the “Red” singer joined Kelce’s mother, Donna Kelce, in a sports suite, even wearing a red and white Chiefs jacket. And after the match, a source told PEOPLE that the couple is still in the “super, super early days” of getting to know each other.
“They’re having fun,” the insider added. “This was Taylor’s first time meeting mom and dad and they all enjoyed it. She was super relaxed and reserved hanging out with his friends and family.”
The Chiefs won the game by a final score of 41-10.
