Meanwhile, The Sun can also reveal that Hannah’s agent was officially contacted by ITV in the summer about the possibility of appearing on This Morning as a regular presenter.
Last night a source said: “Hannah and Alfie have moved in similar circles for years but have both had partners at different times.
“Late last year they went to a couple of dinners at places like Scott’s in Richmond — where Ted Lasso is based.
“As Hannah’s career was on the rise, she wanted to let her work rather than her personal life do the talking so they deliberately kept things quiet.

“It was especially hard to keep things under wraps during the Eurovision frenzy when all the spotlight was on her.
“But they managed to sneak Alfie backstage and kept a low profile.
“Things smoothed out, but they remained on friendly terms.”
Three years ago the pair appeared together on screen in Vera Lynn’s West End video collaboration We’ll Meet Again.
Hannah, 49, has experienced a meteoric rise to fame over the past few years.
Originally a West End actress, Hannah later landed roles in the 2012 film Les Mis, the Netflix hit Sex Education and Game of Thrones.
But her big break came in the form of Apple TV’s Ted Lasso, for which she won an Emmy.
AFC Richmond’s fictional hit series propelled her to a new level of stardom.
Hannah, who currently stars in the M&S Christmas advert, has an eight-year-old daughter with former hotelier Gianluca Cugnetta.
Alfie, 50, best known for his performances as Jean Valjean in the 25th anniversary of Les Mis and on Broadway, has announced he is separating from wife Sarah in 2020.
An insider told ITV: “Hannah is a big Hollywood star and she would of course be welcome on the This Morning sofa.
“We had some discussions with her team in the summer to see what her availability might be.
“But since then she’s obviously become even more in demand so, realistically, she’s not going to replace Holly Willoughby in the new year.”
