Tess Holliday Responds to 'Obsessed' Critics Who Say She Is Lying About Her Size and Is 'Bigger' Than She Claims

Tess Holliday is clapping back at social media critics who claim she’s lying about her size.

On August 10, the 39-year-old model and body activist posted a TikTok video in a swimsuit, where she shared that she was a size 24. However, the post received a number of negative comments from people who assumed there was “no way” she was 24 and claims it’s “much bigger” than that.

The 38-year-old responded with multiple videos in which he turned off the rude messages and dismissed the hate.

“Oh no, I was just exposed,” she said sarcastically. “I’m actually a size 69, get into it.”

Tess Holliday responds to ‘fatphobic’ messages, says her mental health is ‘fragile’: ‘I’m really doing my best’

Holliday also confirmed her size in the video, pointing out the tag on her pants that says 3x, then showing a chart that says 3x is the same as a size 24 and a 26.

“I’m having a lot of fun,” she added, talking about proving her critics wrong.

Responding to another commenter, Holliday said: “I’m so excited that everyone is so obsessed with me ‘lying about my size’ because this video that everyone is commenting on already has almost a million views. So please keep arguing, please keep telling me I’m disgusting.”

While Holliday has never been shy about criticizing negative comments left on her social media pages, the model admitted earlier this year that they continue to affect her mental health.

Tess Holliday ‘really struggles’ with her body image: ‘It was almost exhausting’

“One thing I’m learning on this extremely phobic app is that as soon as you mess up, you can count on everyone telling you how fat you are and that you should die. it’s great I honestly loved it,” she said sarcastically in an April 15 TikTok video. “Don’t repeat it because mental health is a bit fragile at the moment. But sometimes some of us just do our best. Sometimes we make mistakes and we will never be perfect.”

“Maybe if we mess up or make a mistake and accept it…maybe we just wouldn’t be able to say they’re the most disgusting person on the planet and the fattest thing to ever walk the earth,” she continued. “Some of us just hold on so hard and try and it’s not helpful.”

The mum-of-two added in the caption: “I’m really doing my best and I love you all.”
