Some manufacturers and retailers offer buyers the option of exchanging their old device for a new one. At the time of purchase, they can choose from a list of eligible devices and see an estimate of what they would get if they exchanged the selected device.

When buyers choose to exchange phones, they need to prepare their old phone for a new one by wiping data, disconnecting from the network operator, and factory resetting the device. Once everything is done, the buyer’s old mobile phone must be sent to the provided address within the specified time. Once the device is received and inspected, the buyer will receive a refund within a few days.
