The Challenge’s Kaycee Clark and Nany González Break Up Over 1 Year After Getting Engaged: 'It's What's Best for the Both of Us'

AND Challenge Stars Kaycee Clark and Nany González have ended their engagement.

On Saturday, Jan. 25, the couple shared the same statement on their Instagram Stories, revealing that “after much thought,” they’ve “decided to go our separate ways.” They were together for more than three years.

“It was definitely not an easy decision, but what’s best for both of us,” the joint statement continued.

Clark and González also took the opportunity to express their gratitude to those who have supported them, writing: “Thank you to everyone who has supported us along the way – we both move forward with love and kindness in our hearts and ask that you respect our need for privacy at this time.

The reality stars announced their engagement in September 2023 after two years together.

In mid-January, the couple sparked speculation of a split when González, 35, deleted her Instagram account of all but one photo—her cast photos for All Stars Challenge: Rivals. Clark, 37, still had videos and pictures of González at the time.

“My favorite thing about my fiance is how he makes me laugh every day,” Clark captioned an Instagram Roarel Instagram with González at the MTV VMAs. “We bring strangeness from each other and we don’t hold back 😂🤪”

Clark and González first met during filming Challenge: Total madness in 2019 and explored their relationship two years later Challenge: Spies, Lies and Allies, who Big brother The alum went on to win.

“We’ve always been allies in the game and we’ve maintained a very good friendship ever since, but there’s always been an undeniable bond between the two of us,” González told E! News at the time.

After Spies, lies and allies The trailer showed Clark and González kissing, Clark’s ex Tayler Jiminez took to X (then known as Twitter) claiming that the reality star cheated on her with González.

“Kaycee and I broke up because I discovered grossly inappropriate text messages between her and that woman while we were still dating all the way back to December April,” Jiminez claimed on X in July 2021.

Clark and González didn’t let the speculation affect their relationship. The couple celebrated their two-year anniversary in August 2023, with Clark writing on Instagram that she felt “ready for the next 1,000 years” of González.

“Our world has changed so much in two years, but our love for each other hasn’t,” González wrote in a now-deleted Instagram at the time. “Let’s continue to grow, learn and explore this wonderful life together. 🤍 ”

The following month, Clark and González announced their engagement.

“From the moment I met this woman, I knew she was someone special,” González wrote in a since-deleted Instagram post. “Our paths crossed in the most unexpected way and I am forever grateful for that meeting. My heart is full of love and gratitude for the joy you brought into my life, Kaycee Noelle.”

The post included a video of Clark and González walking and dancing along the beach on the Phi Phi Islands in Thailand, where they vacationed. At the end of the video, fire dancers set fire to a sign that read, “Will you marry me?” And González got down on one knee and asked for Clark’s hand in marriage. She held a piece of paper in her hand as she read her pre-written proposal.

When Clark appeared on the Challenge 40: Battle for the Ageswhich was recorded in 2024, she talked about wanting to win the prize money to pay for her and González’s wedding. Clark left in episode 9, and Rachel Robinson and Jenny West tied as the women’s winners. Jordan Wiseley won for the men.
