The Daily Lowdown: Taylor Swift’s concert film expected to bring in the big bucks

Welcome to your daily drop from HELLO! In today’s episode, we discuss the upcoming Taylor Swift concert film that is expected to potentially bring in over $100 million at the box office.

Not only that, but Adele stopped posing for selfies with fans at her Las Vegas concerts, and SZA and Justin Bieber dropped an acoustic version of her hit, Snooze.

Taylor Swift’s upcoming Eras World Tour movie is expected to bring in $100 million at the box office in its opening weekend. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the special film, which will feature her Eras set in full for those who missed out on seeing her in real life, could bring in big bucks based on extremely high advance ticket rates. The big gross is a prediction that could be surpassed as it is based only on pre-sales in the US only, while fans are hoping that she will release the film globally. The Eras concert film will be released in theaters on October 13.

Adele has said she is no longer taking close-up selfies with fans in the audience at her Las Vegas residency due to fears of contracting COVID-19. The global megastar shared the revelation at a recent gig, telling fans that the concerts are in for a lifetime after close friends and crew members were, as she described, “dropping like flies”. The Easy On Me hitmaker also stopped her walk through the crowd to prevent the spread. However, Adele has vowed not to let the rise in COVID cases ruin her residency after the virus caused delays in production and rehearsals which meant her stay was postponed last year.
