The best show on ice is back! Series 16 of Dancing On Ice has been confirmed to return in January and we can’t wait to see the celebs show off their best moves.
The popular skating competition is usually hosted by Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield, however, following Phillip’s departure from ITV’s This Morning, the broadcaster has yet to confirm whether Holly will be joined by a new face.

Fans will no doubt be hoping for the return of the judging panel consisting of figure skating champions Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean, Diversity star Ashley Banjo and ex Strictly Come Dancing professional Oti Mabuse. However, since Oti is expecting her first child at the end of the year, it is possible that she has been temporarily replaced. ITV has yet to officially confirm the line-up of judges.

During the Tuesday edition This morningHolly Willoughby and Ben Shephard have revealed the first celebrity in the 2024 line-up and it’s boxer Ricky Hatton MBE!
The world champion athlete will take to the ice to compete with 11 other celebrities in the hope of becoming the winner in 2024. Holly said: “Good to see you! I’m so excited to bring you to the rink,” before asking the athlete why he decided to sign up. Ricky explained: “To set a new challenge [for myself],” he began. “It’s well documented that I’ve struggled with retirement from boxing and I give a little for mental health and now I’m trying to give a little back. And what I’m banging on about is, ‘try to be busy’. When I retired, I was sitting there with nothing to do and my world came crashing down.”
He added: “If I can hold my temper in the boxing ring, I should be able to hold my temper on the ice rink.”

Actress Claire Sweeney was the second name announced by ITV. The big reveal is again divided into This morning and Claire told the presenters and viewers: “I’m really looking forward to going to the rink with my son and actually being able to skate and not having to use the penguins they give you to help you stay upright!” She added: “I had to wear my boots around the house…I haven’t stepped on ice yet.”
Claire is best known for her role as Lindsey Corkhill in Channel 4’s Brookside. Her other television roles include Merseybeat, Scarborough and Holby City. However, today she is best known for her role as Cassandra Plummer in Coronation Street.
