The firefighter who saved the dog twice decided to adopt it

Firefighters put out fires in Des Moines, Iowa. Little did the firefighters know they would see a dog in a cage in fireman Malcolm Cortner. The person who tried to save the dog decided to adopt the dog and pay for all the treatment costs.

The dog’s former owner gave Malcolm’s permission to adopt the dog and it was moved to a beautiful and friendly new home forever.

The dog will recover and heal properly after his unpleasant experience and nightmare.

The rescued dog is named George. He is safe and sound in his eternal home.

According to the City of Des Moines Facebook page, the 16-month-old Mastiff was trapped in the fire. Firefighters rescued him and gave him oxygen.

It’s time for animal control to investigate the dog’s damage. Animal control said treatment would not come cheap, with the option left to kill the dog.

The owner decided to put the dog on the ground, but firefighters intervened. Malcolm is a hero for saving this dog’s life twice. Thanks to this man, the dog was saved. Share this story with your friends and family.
