The Flip Off: All About Christina Haack and Tarek El Moussa’s Intense HGTV Reunion — Including Where to Watch the Exes Face-Off

Flip Off is the unconventional TV reunion that viewers have been waiting for.

Ex Christina Haack and Tarek El Moussa are back together on the business front, and they were joined by his wife, ex Selling Sunset star Heather Rae El Moussa, for a new show on HGTV.

Best known as former co-hosts Flip or flopChristina and Tarek were married for seven years and had two children together before announcing their separation in 2016. They continued filming Flip or flop despite personal ups and downs, and eventually concluded the series with a 10th season in 2022.

Now, Christina and Tarek are sharing the screen again, but this time it will look different. In the upcoming show, Tarek and Heather team up against Christina to see who can “find, buy, renovate and flip a house for the most financial gain,” according to the network.

Originally, Flip Off was supposed to be a “showdown” between Christina and Tarek and their spouses, but in the middle of filming, she split from her now estranged husband Josh Hall. Christina’s new co-star in the series is rumored to be performer Michael Lange.

From the show’s plot to the cast and release date, here’s everything you need to know about HGTV Flip Off.

What is Flip Off about?

Flip Off is an HGTV competition series that will follow Team Haack and Team El Moussa as they “try to find, buy, renovate and flip a house for the biggest financial gain,” according to the network.

Over the course of six episodes, teams will renovate their chosen properties and be subjected to the opinions of guest judges.

The winner of each weekly renovation challenge will receive $2,000 from the losing team, which will be used for the following week’s project.

The ultimate prize of a “rejection” is a first-class vacation paid for by the losing team (and bragging rights, of course).

Who’s in there Flip Off honor?

It is unclear if Josh Hall will appear in the series, given that he and Christina filmed together before filing for divorce in July 2024. Hall was later removed from the series’ promotional photos released in December 2024.

“I didn’t enjoy shooting with him, so the split made it, to be honest, a lot easier and a lot better in every way,” Christina said. Party tonight in November 2024, adding that Hall “doesn’t like” her friendship dynamic with Tarek.

Since Hall’s early exit, Christina has been seen filming with her Christina on the Coast performer, Michael Lange. It is not known if Lange is her official new partner Flip Off or just a visiting teammate.

As for guest judges, Heather Dubrow, Ant Anstead, Jeff Lewis and Selling SunsetAmanza Smith is scheduled to appear. Christina and Tarek’s mothers will also throw in their two cents.

HGTV has yet to release an official trailer for Flip Offbut PEOPLE got an exclusive first look at the December 2024 series.

The one-minute sneak peek showed Christina informing Tarek that she and Hall had broken up after nearly three years of marriage.

“Things have been bad with Josh for a long time,” she said. “The kids literally asked me to leave. They told me he wasn’t good to me. Why should I stay?”

Christina explained that life has been “so hard and so horrible” since 2016 – the year she and Tarek split.

After her divorce from Tarek was finalized in early 2018, Christina married Anstead that same year. The couple had a son together and eventually split in 2020. Christina then married Hall in 2021.

“That really hurt me,” the mum-of-three said before apologizing to Tarek for all the hurt she had caused him. “I’m really sorry about the s— too. I really am. I just want you to know.”

Tarek responded with empathy, saying, “I understand that feeling of being a little bit lost. And I admit that I’m a big part, if not all, of this.”

What happened between Christina Haack and Josh Hall?

A month after her divorce from Anstead was finalized, Christina began dating Hall in July 2021. They married in secret later that October.

The ex-cop eventually filed for divorce from Christina in July 2024, citing irreconcilable differences. The news comes just two months after HGTV’s announcement Flip Off, and the pair were seen shooting promos together.

In August 2024, Hall moved out of their home in Newport Beach, California, and Christina returned to filming Flip Off alone.

“I finally got my appetite back. I’m working out again. My kids are happy and our house feels like home,” she wrote on her Instagram Stories that same month. “I’ll never give my peace away again. If you’ve ever lost your peace and regained it, there’s a new level of gratitude for every single moment of life.”

Christina is currently in the process of removing a tattoo on her left ring finger that refers to Hall. Meanwhile, he lives on her farm in Tennessee, which she planned to sell until Hall intervened. He also reportedly asked for $65,000 a month in spousal support.

Today, Christina and Tarek are amicable co-parents – something she claimed was a stumbling block for her third husband. In November 2024 Christina said Party tonight which Hall harbored “jealousy” of Tarek.

“[He] he doesn’t like our dynamic because Tarek and I have our own dynamic, and some might call it ‘flirting,’” she explained. “It’s kind of like a brother and sister to me.”

Christina seems to get along well with Tarek’s wife Heather. The couple got married in 2021, and two years later they had a son.

“We’re here for anything she needs, honestly,” Tarek said Access to Hollywood in December 2024 “At the end of the day, we’re really friends. We care about each other, we’re really supportive.”

Heather jokingly added that she and Tarek had volunteered to “check out” Christina’s future suitors. “I feel like we would make good judges,” she said. “We are ready for the challenge.”
