‘The Goldbergs’ Hayley Orrantia engaged to boyfriend Greg Furman: ‘We’re getting married!’

Furman popped the question in May 2022. The weekend wedding festivities, planned by Karli Spangler Events, began with a welcome party and rehearsal dinner, where Orrantia wore a thrifted white Badgley Mischka dress she stumbled across while shopping with Furman and his parents in Nashville.

For her big day, Orrantia wore a Liz Martinez “beaded girl” dress that featured a detachable chiffon skirt so she could dance the night away after saying “I do.” Since the actress has worn many “princess”-style dresses for red carpets and events, she says she wanted to do something different — and the first dress she tried on ended up being this one.

“I’m the type of girl who seems to go barefoot right away, and I’m on the dance floor all night,” says Orrantia. “So I needed something I could dance in, but I also asked myself, ‘Do I really want to have two dresses? This is my wedding dress. I want to be in it all night.’ And this particular dress was so perfect.”

Inspired by the colors of fall, the couple’s ceremony featured shades of terracotta, burnt orange and rust tones and featured Joy of Bloom flowers with “lots of greenery.” Her seven bridesmaids wore dresses that each chose for themselves in the same color scheme.

After her first look with Furman, the bride walked down the aisle to Roo Panes’ “I Just Love You.” Against the backdrop of the sunset, the couple read their personal vows, which Orrantia reveals they spent months putting together.

“It’s the little things,” she says. “He and I love our weekends together, with coffee. And we’ll do the Sunday newspaper crossword puzzle like we’re old people — that’s one of my favorite things.”

During the cocktail hour, guests were greeted with shrimp skewers, truffle and mushroom flatbread, and cheeseburger sliders. For dinner, Orrantia says they served chaat masala (a personal favorite), truffle filet (at Furman’s request) and honey squash as a vegetarian option.

“Probably one of my favorite parts of planning was the tasting, because you just have to eat literally everything and they give you all this wine,” she remembers, “It was such a fun day.”

As the night drew to a close, the newlyweds decided to surprise their guests with a silent disco.

“This is so stupid, but one of the reasons I was looking forward to it so much is because I’ve seen videos people make where they just scroll through a room of people dancing,” jokes Orrantia. “I think it’s hilarious that there’s no loud music, you just hear people breathing heavily. It makes me laugh a lot.”
