The Golden Bachelor’s Leslie Fhima Hospitalized on Her 65th Birthday for ‘Random’ Surgery

The Golden Bachelor Star Leslie Fhima’s 65th birthday last year was a little different.

The TV personality recently revealed that instead of celebrating her big day, she spent time in hospital to undergo a “random” operation instead.

“Hello everyone! I know everyone was just curious what I did on my 65th birthday. I spent it in the hospital. Yes, I had a blockage in my intestines, severe cramps, I went to the emergency room,” she explained in an Instagram Story post that expired on Sunday, according to several sources.

The Golden BachelorTheresa Nist would invite runner-up Leslie to her wedding to Gerry Turner — but she’s not sure she’d come

Her birthday was just before New Year’s on Thursday.

Fhima explained that it was “just something so random. Actually, scar tissue from an appendectomy I had when I was 18.” She then warned fans: “If you have serious stomach problems, don’t wait 12 hours to go to the hospital like I did.”

The reality dating show contestant assured her supporters that everything will be fine and that she is “very excited” to be returning home to her dog.

In early December, Fhima, who was runner-up in Gerry Turner’s first season The Golden Bachelorhe visited Bachelor Happy Hour podcast and disted about dating Prince.

Fhima told hosts Joe Amabile and Serena Pitt that she was 18 when she met the Grammy winner and that her cousin, Bobby Z, was his drummer and friend.

“So Bobby met us and I think we’re the same age and we were 18 and he was amazing…” Fhima continued. “I would go to his house and he would play the guitar and sing for me. And, you know, he was an amazing person and people think he’s so quiet, but he’s hysterical. He was very funny. Again, the humor I love.”

She also claimed to be Prince’s muse for his 1979 single “Sexy Dancer.”

“I was dancing at a fashion show and Bobby brought him to the fashion show, and you know, he’s like hiding behind a pole and I came down dancing,” she recalled. “And after he says, ‘You’re a sexy dancer.’ I will write a song about you. I said, ‘Okay,’ anyway, that song came out a little bit later.”

While she and Prince may not have gone far, Fhima ended up finding a lot of love as a grandmother of three.

The little ones — Jackson, Sofia and Yossi — have even appeared on ABC’s Minneapolis series before The Golden Bachelor finale when Turner visited the birthplaces of his three best women to meet their families.
