This story happened last week in the English city of Gloucester. A local resident found this scared dog on the street.
Its front legs are crooked. She couldn’t stand on it or move normally. When the woman noticed this, she immediately decided to help the poor dog.
The local Cotswolds Dog & Cat Shelter determined that the owners probably simply dumped the dog in the street. Injuries to the feet are very serious and congenital.
And perhaps the owners are afraid of the responsibility and decide to get rid of the puppy in this way. Staff at the shelter determined that the cocker spaniel was only 8 weeks old.
Tiny was nicknamed Winnie and started on the road to recovery. Unfortunately, veterinarians predict that the dogs will have to have their legs amputated in the future so that walking doesn’t cause her too much discomfort.
But in the meantime, Winnie is receiving physical therapy and other treatments to stay healthy.
Winnie is currently in the care of a guardian and fundraising is underway for her treatment and maintenance. It will take three months to find her a home, once the problem with her sick foot is resolved. This little girl is full of energy and very grateful for the care of her guardians.
