There is no connection between parent and child.
When Bailey Sellers was 16 years old, her father died of cancer. She didn’t know at first, but he prepared a unique birthday present for her before he passed away. Over the next five years, she received flowers and a handwritten card from him.
And for her 21st birthday, she received a special gift, and luckily she shared that sweet gift on Twitter.
“… these are the flowers for my 21st and last birthday. I miss you so much,” began the Tweet, which also featured three photos: a photo of a pack of beautiful pug dogs, another photo of Bailey and her father from when she was little, and a photo about the card with the flowers, prepare to cry after reading these warm congratulations.
“This is my last love letter to you until we meet again. I don’t want you to shed another tear for me, children, because I’m in a better place.
You are and will always be the most precious gem I have been given. Today is your 21st birthday and I want you to always respect your mother and stay true to yourself. Be happy and live to the fullest. I’ll still be with you through every milestone, just look around and I’ll be there.”
While it sucks that Bailey lost his father at such a young age, it’s unmistakable that his love for her knows no bounds.
Despite the fact that his flowers and notes will be gone after this year, we are sure that Bailey’s dad will be with her spirit in every last moment of future birthday events. her future… and every day.
