What is Nordy Club?

The Nordy Club is a membership that gives you a front-row seat to better savings and early access to coveted sales, including the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale — so you can grab that sweet pair of shoes before everyone else.

Depending on your membership status, you can receive basic makeovers for free, attend lifestyle events and workshops, and get exclusive early access to select brands and sales like Clear the Rack, a quarterly sale at Nordstrom Rack — the brand’s discount department store — that offers additional 25 percent off the clearance section. Did someone say super savings?

How to apply for The Nordy Club

Nordy Club membership registration is completely free for the most basic membership level. All you need to do is enter your name, phone number, and email address to set up your Nordstrom account and start earning points on your trendy purchases. But if you’re an avid Nordstrom shopper looking to get as much cash back on your purchases as possible, you’ll need to invest to save.

Nordstrom Membership Status Levels

• Member: no minimum net purchase balance
• Influencer: Minimum net purchase balance of $500 at Nordstrom stores
• Ambassador: Minimum net purchase balance of $5,000 at Nordstrom stores
• Icon: Minimum net purchase balance of $15,000 at Nordstrom locations while using the Nordstrom Card

Membership access is free and requires no minimum annual spend to maintain your status. You can enjoy perks like free basic alterations, early access to select brands and Nordstrom Rack’s Clear the Rack sale, exclusive Nordy Club promotions, and even lifestyle workshops.

Influencer access includes all the same benefits, plus a few more. With this membership level comes three “Personal Double Points Days” where, on the days you choose, you can earn double points on your purchases, plus priority access to Nordstrom-style events. Influencers must spend at least $500 per year to maintain this membership level. You also unlock this level when you open a Nordstrom credit card.

Ambassador access ups the ante with four additional perks, including a personal in-house stylist, a total of four “Personal Double Points Days” and invitation-only events: members-only workshops, parties and exhibitions. You will need to spend $5,000 at Nordstrom per year to achieve this membership level.

Icon access is the pinnacle of Nordstrom, which means you’ve spent $15,000 or more a year at Nordstrom — and they want to thank you for it. In addition to all the other perks, you get a total of five “Personal Double Points Days,” same-day shipping at select locations, after-hours access to your favorite Nordstrom store, unlimited advanced alterations, super-early access to the Anniversary Sale, and Nordstrom credit card fee refunds. Did we mention you’re also treated to Icon-Only events and exclusive dining or spa experiences?

Points and notes

With every dollar spent at Nordstrom or Nordstrom Rack, earn one point in your Nordy Club account. With enough points, you can earn Nordstrom vouchers that can be redeemed for cash at any Nordstrom store. Notes apply to Nordstrom purchases only — cannot be exchanged for cash or credit.

• 1,000 points equals $10 in Nordstrom Notes
• 2,000 points equals $20 in Nordstrom Notes
• Bonus: You can collect Notes faster (and in smaller quantities) when you shop through the Nordstrom app.

You can earn Notes faster if you shop with a Nordstrom credit or debit card, which doubles your points per purchase (ie, two points per $1). Even better, if you’ve earned enough points to unlock Ambassador or Icon status, you’ll triple the points for every dollar spent with the Nordstrom card. If you’d rather not wait too long to earn a bill or two, you can purchase through the Nordstrom app to unlock a $5 bill after earning 500 points or $15 for 1,500 points.

There are also chances for Nordy Club members to win bonus Nordstrom Notes throughout the year, which you will be alerted to via email. Basically, Nordstrom gives money to some of its most loyal customers — so it pays to save Notes.

Let’s say you want the in-demand Birkenstock Arizona Sandals before they sell out for a discounted price of just $80. As a Nordstrom Club member, you’ll not only get early access to the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, so you’ll actually get a chance to snag your favorite shade, but you’ll also earn 80 points, bringing you closer to a Nordstrom Note award.

Modifications

Nordstrom Club members can receive free basic alterations on pieces purchased at Nordstrom stores at select Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack locations. The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is an annual summer event that offers limited-time deals on new products, everyday favorites, and exclusive beauty packages. Prices have been reduced on popular brands such as Adidas, Birkenstock and Hoka, as well as some more expensive brands such as Max Mara and Lafayette 148.

The Anniversary Sale traditionally takes place between mid-July and early August, but card members get early access to the sale depending on their status.
