The Office Characters Celebrate Christmas in New Book, Penned by Brian Baumgartner and Show’s Producer (Exclusive)

Get ready to return to Scranton this holiday season. A new Christmas-themed book centered on the NBC comedy Office hits shelves this year — and PEOPLE has an exclusive first look! The night before Christmas at Dunder Mifflinwritten by Emmy winner Brian Baumgartner who played Kevin on the series and series producer Ben Silverman will be published this November by Mariner Books. It’s a take on an Office-themed classic It was the night before Christmas song, perfect for fans of the series. It’s Christmas Eve at the Dunder Mifflin paper company, and the boss, Michael Scott, has gone missing. As Dunder Mifflin employees doze off from the excitement of the office holiday party, they are joined by two unexpected visitors: Santa and his elf on the right.

In 2021, the team was a co-writer Welcome to Dunder Mifflinthe official oral history of the hit show, which aired from 2005 to 2013.

The book, which includes exclusive interviews with the cast and crew, takes fans behind the scenes into the making of the show. Welcome to Dunder Mifflin also includes a look at scripted storylines from the show, including a plot point where Jim, the character played by John Krasinski, had an affair while married to Pam (Jenna Fischer).
