What can we anticipate from The Parent Test’s season one premiere?
The first episode of the Parent Test series will feature 12 parents who wish to raise happy and healthy children and will put them through the High Dive Challenge and the Yes Day Challenge. In the former, the children will be urged to take a risk by jumping from a board into a pool, where they may experience peer pressure from other children. The endeavor will be difficult for the children, and as shown in a promotional video, one youngster refuses to even leap. Some children, however, overcome their concerns and charge for victory, much to the surprise of their parents.
The Yes Day challenges requires parents to give in to every request made by their children for 24 hours. In a commercial, one pair of parents is shown becoming anxious as their children eat cake for breakfast, while another couple’s children make a mess on the bed by eating on it.
In addition, the program will include parents revealing their own experiences with raising children after growing up in a “tough” family. One lady says in the commercial that she wishes she had a father like another parent engaged in the trial.
More information about The Parent Test
Dr. Adolph Brown is a well-known clinical psychologist with 30 years of therapy practice. He will be the show’s parenting guru, having constructive criticism-based dialogues with different parents concerning their children. According to Dr. Brown, the program is modeled on the Australian series Parental Guidance and will cover everything that was not addressed in the last episode. He also says:
“Based on all of the parenting approaches shown, any parent who is watching will discover that effective parenting is truly inconvenient. People don’t discuss it. It’s something that we all choose to do and desire to become better at.”
The experiment’s parents represent various parenting methods and will engage in discussions on sensitive issues like spanking. The parents will collaborate with Dr. Brown and Wentworth to create a fresh method to child-rearing.
