The puppy won’t stop wagging its tail when it comes out of the shelter

This is Matilda – a pit bull puppy that was found stray and taken to the Douglas County Animal Sanctuary in Georgia. Although the first months of Matilda’s life were difficult, she was always cheerful and constantly wagging her tail.

Santina Sanders, a volunteer at the shelter, took a video of Matilda’s tail in action and shared it on her Facebook page. “And she gave the sweetest kisses,” Santina Sanders told The Dodo. “It was the sweetest thing ever.”

When the Douglas County Animal Welfare Center picked her up, she had skin irritation and worms in her stomach. Fortunately, one of the coordinators of the group, Teresa Bowles-Chiofalo, decided to go to the shelter to pick up the cute puppy and send it to a foster home.

On the way to meet her adoptive family, Matilda couldn’t hide her excitement. He couldn’t stop laughing and wagging his tail for even a second during the hour and a half in the car.

“The dictionary definition of the word ‘joy’ is: ‘noun: a feeling of great contentment and happiness’ This is the picture next to that definition in the dictionary. Matilda.

She is pure, pure joy,” Pibbles & More Animal Rescue wrote on Facebook.

When the couple returned home, Matilda’s adoptive mother, Kerrie Rich, immediately fell in love with her. Matilda also loves everything about her foster home. He enjoys napping with his foster siblings, playing with his toys, and hanging out with his foster neighbors.

We are happy to know that Matilda is enjoying her wonderful life. After Matilda is adopted, Rich will rescue another dog from the shelter. But until that day comes, Rich will enjoy his life with Matilda and her wagging tail.
