The Repair Shop has entertained viewers for several years and premiered in 2017.

The heartfelt legacy repair show has provided many guests with compelling stories that have come and gone through warehouse doors during their screen time on our screens. But it’s not just residents who have the privilege of bringing their valuables in for repairs.

Several familiar faces have joined Jay Blades and his team of skilled professionals in the stables. Here’s a list of stars you might have forgotten to appear on the show.

Judi Dench

Hollywood actress Judi Dench visited Jay and the pros last year in an emotional twist when the 88-year-old woman brought in her late husband Michael’s pocket watch for repair.

The Philomena star restored the item as part of a BBC One live special held at the Edinburgh Television Festival.

Judi revealed that she gave her husband a pocket watch a year after they got married and he treasured the item very much, always carrying it in his pocket until his death from lung cancer in 2014. 2001, at the age of 65.

The sketch delighted viewers, who praised the episode on Twitter. Craig Revel Horwood

Craig Revel Horwood appeared in the same episode as Judi Dench last August. Strictly Come Dancing judges hope experts can recover a live chimpanzee from Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Sunset Boulevard, the musical presented to him as a premiere gift.

Craig was impressed with the restoration and said: “It’s amazing. It’s actually 100 times better than what it looked like in 1992.”

King Charles

King Charles appeared in a special episode of the popular reality show to mark the BBC’s centenary. In the sequel, filmed in October 2022 when Charles was still Prince of Wales, the royal family brings in two precious items for repair: an 18th-century wearable watch and another Wemyss crockery made for Queen Victoria’s Diamond Jubilee.

Jay and the pros visited Charles at Dumfries House in Scotland for the episode titled The Repair Shop: A Royal Visit. The show received rave reviews from viewers and even won a TV BAFTA award in the daytime category.
