With its heartwarming stories and incredible transformations, The Repair Shop is one of the nation’s favorite TV shows and has recently picked up a string of awards including a TV BAFTA and a National Television Award.
But the lifestyle program is also loved by fans thanks to the popular team behind the series – and fans love that siblings Steve and Suzie Fletcher star in the popular series.

In the past, Suzie and Steve have shared a glimpse of what life was like growing up together, and Steve previously shared a memory of little Suzie! Earlier on Instagram, the BBC presenter wrote: “Well done to those of you who guessed the photo on today’s story (swipe to see) is me holding my sister Suzie!

“We’re both here filming Repair shop today, some 50 (i) years later. She seems happier to be in my company these days!!” Many followers took to the comments to share their surprise at the clip.

Suzie and Steve Fletcher’s close relationship
In an interview with Time, Suzie opened up about their relationship, saying the siblings had a strong bond since they were children before they started working together on the popular BBC programme. “Steve and I definitely shared a lot of strong similarities, and he was the one who took me under his wing,” she said.
“He’s been my rock my whole life. Every step. I really didn’t think I was confident enough to be on Repair shopbut I had the saving grace that Steve was there.”

Suzie also opened up on the Relatively podcast about their rock-solid union. “My brother’s word was always highly valued because I could, and still can, tell him my darkest secrets and know that it’s in complete confidence and he’ll keep it to himself, but he’ll also give me really good advice if I need it .”

Suzie also told the BBC: “Every time [Steve] called, he seemed to be having such a good time. I jokingly said, ‘If they need someone to do leather, I’m your girl.’ I was really joking, but after a few phone calls and Steve’s persuasion I agreed to give it a shot and joined the team.”

Before returning to the UK, Suzie lived in America for 22 years with her husband until his death in 2013 from pancreatic cancer. Although Suzie has no children of her own, she is an aunt to four nieces and one nephew through her brother Steve!

Steve is both a dad and a grandfather. Repair shopThe resident horologist (that’s a watch repairer to you and me) opened up about his family life through his Instagram. In a previous post, Steve could be seen smiling on the beach with his son and four daughters as they enjoyed a holiday in Cornwall. He wrote: “Keeping with the family theme today… I asked on my stories how many kids you think I have – the answer is five, plus four grandkids!”
