The Repair Shop viewers emotional after famous guest delivers moving musical performance following incredible fix

Repair Shop viewers had to pick up their tissues during Wednesday night’s episode after Award-winning Poet Simon Armitage put on a moving performance with his band.

The poet brought his precious harmonica, which holds precious memories of his late father Petar, for repair.

The instrument was played at Simon’s childhood church in Marsden, where both he and his father sang in choirs. Simon accepted the harmonium after learning that the church was getting rid of it.

Speaking of his father, Simon said: “He was a very great character, a greater character than in real life. He allowed me to be a creative, artistic person and that worked out in a way. For him, it’s performance, song, acting, for me it’s poetry.”

He continued: “My proudest moment was when I called him to tell him I was going to be the next Poet Laureate. I could hear him crying on the other end of the phone. phone.”

Organ restorer David Burville soon set to work on the mix, and when it was finished, Simon returned to the barn with his band LYR.

Michael, former children’s award winner and bestselling author Let’s go bear hunting, became seriously ill with coronavirus during the pandemic and was in a coma for 40 days. He brought a significant portion of the documentation on the Covid pandemic to the warehouse for repairs. His care records, which are kept by NHS staff and are the only documents he has since that time, will be converted by experts.

Meanwhile, Patrick, who had successfully campaigned for June 22 to be recognized each year as Windrush Day, brought with him an X-ray photo of his late friend Eddie Noble, a Jamaican World War veteran War II settled in Great Britain after serving in the RAF. .
