While we still have to wait until the end of 2023 for a UK version of the series hosted by Claudia Winkman, the BBC has confirmed that the Australian version of the hit series will launch in July – and We couldn’t be more delighted!

Similar to the UK and US versions, it will once again be set at a historic luxury hotel in the Southern Highlands and will see a group of ‘Followers’ attempting to weed out traitors. in between them – with four contestants chosen as sneaky traitors trying to claim the $250,000 prize.

So who is the host? This time, Australian TV personality Rodger Corser leads the team through challenges and iconic roundtables where they decide the fates of their fellow contestants.
If you haven’t seen the series, it’s been described as a “realistic psychological game revolving around tactics, betrayal, suspicion, and manipulation.” Sounds juicy, doesn’t it?
The play was a huge hit
Speaking about the series, BBC Three Head of Content Nasfim Haque said: “Traitors are an addictive demonic format and I’m really pleased that viewers were able to overcome the betrayal and respond box during the summer as we go down to the Australian version of the show on BBC Three and iPlayer.”
So when can you watch it? The 12-episode box set will arrive one-by-one on Sunday 9 July on BBC iPlayer and will air on BBC Three.
UK version with Claudia coming back later this year
The film has been a huge hit in the UK and has earned Claudia Winkman the BAFTA Award for Best Entertainment Performance in 2022. Speaking of the decision to make the film, Claudia told the BBC: “The the producer sent me the dutch version of the movie and they said: look, this is real, it worked and we want to do a version in Scotland and you will have to leave the house for three weeks and I said ‘I don’t think so’ and then I hit play on the first episode and I didn’t eat or sleep for two days I watched the whole thing I said I told them I I’m going to Scotland alone, I’m going to make sandwiches for the entire cast and crew, please, please, let me do it. I’m completely exhausted.

Talking about her presentation style, she added: “I feel bad because normally my role, if I ever do it on TV or radio, is like a cheerleader. You know? ‘Good job. You’re awesome.
