The Wayans Family Is Inducted into NAACP Image Awards Hall of Fame: Our Parents 'Would Be Very, Very Happy’ 

The Wayans family is respected in a very special way!

On Saturday, February 2nd, the talented family attended the 56th NAACP painting award where they were introduced at the NAACP Image Awards celebrated awards.

In an interview with people at the ceremony, 64 -year -old Damon said he had received the honor: “I think my parents would be very, very happy about us. And they know that without them there are no us and they would really take all the loan. ”

Damon was joined at the ceremony by his son Damon Wayans Jr. and family members, Kim Wayans, Marlon Wayans, Craig Wayans, Chauntte Wayans and Damien Wayans while they were given a common honor as a NAACP Image Awards Hall of Fame InducTies.

In addition to working together, Damon shared with people that he was blessed that he had continuous love and support of his family.

“Apart from working together, it’s a community we have, when you go through something, you have a team that goes through the same things, and as I prevailed those things,” he said.

“Like, when you go and willing to jump off the building, you know, it’s:” Come here, come back here. Not so serious. “So, I think it was the greatest wealth I had in my life, he has a family in business, that a job that doesn’t allow me, you know, a trip.”

The Wayans family joins the other past prizes of the NAACP Image Awards Hall of Fame, including Eddie Murphy, Oprah Winfrey, Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin and Spike Lee.

Derrick Johnson, President and CEO of NAACP, said in a statement to the public: “For decades, the Wayans family has been at the forefront of comedy, breaking the obstacles and opening doors for entertainer waves.”

“Their work on television, film and stand-up has transcended pop culture and conceived his legacy in the Naacp Image Awards Hall,” he added. “Recognition of their achievements with this induction is a celebration of multigenerational heritage celebration that continues to progress and raise communities. ”

Johnson concluded: “The Wayans family set the standard of excellence, and their impact echoes far outside the stage and the screen.”
