There’s a deadly snake hidden in this picture… so can YOU spot it? (And, no, it’s not that brown stick)

AT FIRST glance this picture just looks like a bit of baron wasteland strewn with dead leaves and with tufts of grass poking out of the dry ground.

But if you look closer you’ll see a deadly snake is camouflaged in grey-brown ground… so can you spot it?

The dangerous reptile is virtually invisible on the floor as it slithers its way around the tuft of grass just right of the centre of the image.

The Snake Hunter, from Australia, discovered the creature while in South Morang, Victoria.

He posted the picture to his Facebook account with the comment: “Can you spot the venomous snake?”

And it proved a difficult task for many social media users.

The nifty serpent is just slithering his way around that tuft of grass - can you see him now?

One person wrote: “I can never find any of the snakes, I’d be screwed.”

And another agreed: “I’m not even going to try cause I never can spot the darn things.”

The reptile in question is a lowland copperhead snake which is usually found in southeastern Australia and Tasmania.

The venomous serpent can kill an adult human with its deadly bite although if proper medical attention is sort, people can survive an attack.

They are generally 1-1.5m in length and their colour can vary greatly from a black to grey to red to brown.

The critter in our snapshot is a mid-brown colour, meaning it is virtually impossible to identify against the dusty ground.

It’s not the first time a hidden serpent has baffled Facebook users.

This photograph appears to show a typical back garden with an overgrown lawn, a wooden fence and a clothes horse.
