“It was an honor and a pleasure to work with the incredible team at Allure who were so supportive and collaborative throughout the design process,” Paolo said in the post. “As always, none of this would be possible without Shonda Rhimes, who is and always has been a costume designer’s dream writer/producer. I love the worlds she creates, and it’s an absolute joy to fill those worlds with beautiful costumes.”
She added: “Now I’m excited to help design beautiful gowns inspired by the world she created for today’s beautiful brides.”
Paolo told Today.com that the idea for the collection came after numerous inquiries from fans who wanted to incorporate the romantic “Bridgerverse” aesthetic into their weddings.
“The idea of giving fans the opportunity to dress in something based on the shows for their wedding is something that’s very exciting for all of us at Shondaland,” she said in May, ahead of the collection’s launch. “It’s like bringing a little bit of magic into someone’s life.”

Each of the dresses has its own unique point of view, noted Paolo. “All the dresses are so different and different from each other and the details are beautiful,” she explained. “The lace is beautiful, the crystals, the veils – we’ve also worked on some veils – and I think everyone will be pleasantly surprised.”
