It’s only the year 2024, and we already have one of the most anticipated weddings of the year. January 4. The Golden Bachelor’with Gerry Turner, 72, will say “I do” to Theresa Nist, 70, in front of a live audience after proposing in the show’s final episode, which aired on November 30.

Nist told PEOPLE that there were “very few decisions left” in terms of wedding planning by mid-December thanks to her daughter, Jen Woolston, who helped her mom pick out everything from the flowers to the dress.

“My daughter, she’s seen a million weddings and she’s amazing,” Nist said of Jen. “She put together a vision board. She asks me: ‘Do you like this? Do you like this?’ And I’m like, ‘Wow, well, I don’t even have to do that. This is excellent.’ She carries it pretty well.”
